That man was very rude, it's not like dolls are just something that you like for a couple of years and then the phase is over. I think he was just unhappy about being in a doll store because his wife forced him to come.

Happy Birthday Elle and what a cool collection of items you have now! I love your Addy, she's beautiful! And yes, I believe there are certain dolls you want, one may look just a teeny bit different to you or call to you differently. No harm in that. Glad the lady was nice but confused. I remember reading about someone either here or another list that said one AGP worker was kinda rude because she wanted to take the doll out of the box and see her. Another worker she dealt with first was extremely nice and totally understood that she needed to bond with the doll.

And that guy, well he's a GUY! Totally explains it! ROTFL! I'm so glad you didn't let his awful comment ruin your day. He's not worth thinking about, that's for sure! Makes you wish you could have had a snappy comeback--I can never think of stuff to say myself let alone tell you something that would have been funny!

I'm just happy you had an overall great birthday! Be 10 years old for as long as you like, just ask Taffy, she'll agree with you! Heck I'm 48 and I never plan to grow up! LOL! [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I know exactly what you mean! When I went with my mom last time I bought her Kit for mother's day with her accessories. It took her forever to find just the right one for her, and when she did it was a Kit with a hardcover book!

When we got to the register I asked for the same thing--to switch the box lid and book. It took the girl forever to understand what I wanted done, and even then she clearly thought we were nuts!
